Game data
Games run on your device. Your current game, best scores and theme choice are stored in your browser's local storage on that device only. They are not sent to our servers. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Site statistics
When a page opens, and when a game is started or won, the page sends a short counter message to our own server containing only the page or game name and, for games, the mode (for example "sudoku / hard"). We use these counts to see which games are played and where they need work.
To count daily visitors, the server derives an anonymous identifier from a one-way hash of the day, a secret value, the IP address and the browser's user-agent string. The IP address and user-agent themselves are not stored, and the identifier changes every day, so visits on different days cannot be linked. We also store the country reported by our hosting provider and the device type (desktop, mobile or tablet). No cookies are set on visitors for this.
Contact form
Messages sent through the contact form are stored on our server with the time, the page it was sent from, the country and device type, and the email address if you provide one. They are used only to read and reply to your message.
Accounts
Zippi has no accounts and does not ask for your name or email to play.
Analytics and advertising
We may use Google Analytics to count visits and Google AdSense to show ads. These services can set cookies and collect information such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited. Google's use of this data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Where required by law, you are asked for consent before these cookies are set.
If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply.
Children
Zippi is a general-audience site and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
