How to play

The tiles are stacked in layers. Remove all of them by matching pairs of the same picture: click one free tile, then its twin, and both are removed.

  • Free tiles: a tile can be taken when nothing lies on top of it and its left or right side is open.
  • Easy: 40 tiles in two layers and ten kinds of picture. Suits children.
  • Medium: 88 tiles in three layers.
  • Hard: the classic 144-tile Turtle in five layers.
  • Shuffle: when no pairs are free, Shuffle rearranges the remaining tiles into a position that can still be cleared.

The picture button above the board switches to other sets (Animals, Food, Classic tiles and more); the rules stay the same.

Strategy

  1. Open the long rows first. Removing the end tiles of the longest rows frees the most tiles behind them.
  2. Clear the top of the stack early. The tiles on top cover many others.
  3. When three of a kind are free, check which pair unblocks more before choosing.

Why Halloween

Halloween, on 31 October, takes its name from All Hallows’ Eve, the evening before All Saints’ Day. Its pictures are some of the best known in the world: carved pumpkins, ghosts, bats and black cats, which make a board easy to read at a glance.
